Haruko Katō (加藤 治子 Katō Haruko, 24 November 1922 – 2 November 2015) was a Japanese actress. Haruko Katō was born in Akasaka, Minato, Tokyo, on 24 November 1922. After attending the Shochiku Girls' Opera School, she joined the Shochiku Girls' Opera Company under the stage name Kyoko Mifune. She was signed by the film production company Toho in 1939, making her film debut in Hanatsumi Nikki that same year. In 1940, she joined the New Theatre Research Society, which had been founded by Hiroshi Akutagawa and Michio Kato, whom she married in 1946.
